Volunteer Opportunities

Storefront volunteers are vital members of our community enabling us to enrich, improve and expand the range of experiences we offer students.  The love and passion our volunteers bring to the Storefront continue to shape our success. Thank you to our volunteers for sharing your energy, talents and time.

There are two ways of spreading light – to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it.  ~Edith Wharton

Below is a brief list of our volunteer opportunities:

The Children’s Storefront is a caring community of educators, children, families and friends who are focused on each student’s daily achievement as a step towards a better future, and volunteers play a huge role towards that goal.

The Storefront is always looking for volunteers who share the same commitment to the mission and work that we do. Volunteers at the Storefront are considered an important part of our community; presently we have volunteer opportunities in the following areas:

AFTER-SCHOOL CORE SUPPORT AND TEAMTHINK

Both the Lower School (grades 1-4) and the Upper School (grades 5-8) have after- school study hall programs for students who need extra help with their homework. The program runs from 4:00-6:00pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

LIBRARY ASSISTANCE

Library volunteers can assist the librarians by sorting books and reading to children.
